“Peace on earth will come to stay when we live Christmas every day.”
~Helen Steiner Rice
These Christmas quotes are shared with an intention: to help you check-in on what is important for you, as you close one decade and greet another. Spend some time alone to ponder this thought.
Yet another year has flown by too fast. It felt like six months instead of twelve. I get it—as we mature, times seems to fly. I’m in that mature category.
We’re busy people. We cram more into our days so we can feel more productive. I’m in that category, too.
What I know for sure is this: if I don’t get more discerning about what I choose to do, who I choose to spend time with, and how much time I spend recharging my own batteries, this next decade will speed by just as fast. How can we slow it down a bit so we don’t end up the year like this kitty in the picture? Does any of this resonate with you?
As I was thinking about this phenomenon of time passing so quickly, I wondered what it would take to get me to slow down for a moment, get into the spirit of the season and feel motivated to make every moment count—now and in the future.
When I wonder about things like this, I seek inspiration from others. I know I’m not alone on this journey. I’m not the first to be perplexed by life situations that turn me upside down (and sometimes inside out). And, others have graciously shared their wisdom so I could be uplifted.
So, I searched online for Inspiration for the Season. It’s where I need to start. These quotes resonated with me and I thought I’d share them so you can be uplifted, too.
I wrote these in my journal so I could keep them and refer back when I needed a new lift. As I did so, it seemed they fell into a few categories, which helped me hone in on where I need inspiration the most…

Remembering all the wonderful times we shared—feeling so grateful to have been so well-loved by them—and feeling sad, too. And then there is remembering Harley and Kismet, my fur-babies—a special kind of love and loss.
And, my all-time favorite…
