From Darkness to Light — Learning to Adapt to Change & Move Through Transition
One question I’m often asked is, “Why is change so hard?” Some welcome change for the opportunities it brings, while others duck and take cover. And sometimes it just depends on how big the change is before we decide how to react.
It’s human nature to fear the unknown. We’re taught that being in control comes with a sense of safety and security. Yet there is so much that happens in life that we can’t control.
A major life event that turns your world upside down can lead you into darkness. Some describe it as a black hole—where there is no light—or a dark tunnel, where you can see light at both ends. They’re certain they don’t want to go back to where they came from, but aren’t sure how to move forward to the light.
This book will teach you what I know about change and transition, the difference between them, and the choices we get to make when change happens. It’s my hope that as we begin to shine the light, it may open your heart and mind to new possibilities that come through change and transition.
